* Our research paper entitled "The Exchange of Knowledge using Cloud Robotics" has been selected as a finalist for the Best Cognitive Robotics Paper Award and the Best Service Robotics Paper Award at ICRA 2018.

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the group of [[http://ai.uni-bremen.de/team/michael_beetz|Prof. Michael Beetz]]. My primary research focus is on knowledge representation and learning using cloud robotics. I have obtained my doctor of engineering (Dr.-Ing.) degree from the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at the University of Bremen in May'19 for my dissertation entitled [[http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:gbv:46-00107392-19|"Fast Robot Learning using Prospection and Experimental Knowledge: A Cognitive Approach using Narrative-Enabled Episodic Memories and Symbolic Knowledge"]].
During my doctoral studies, I conducted research as a visiting student at [[http://www.jsk.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp|JSK Lab.]], [[http://www.u-tokyo.ac.jp/en/|The University of Tokyo]] under the supervision of [[http://www.jsk.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~k-okada/index-e.html|Assoc. Prof. Kei Okada]] in Summer'17. Also, I visited [[https://bi.snu.ac.kr/~btzhang/|Prof. Byoung-Tak Zhang]]'s [[https://bi.snu.ac.kr/~scai/|Biointelligence Lab]] at [[http://www.useoul.edu|Seoul National University]] in April and May'18.
Previously, I received my M.Sc. degree in [[http://www.ceng.metu.edu.tr/|Computer Engineering]] from [[http://www.metu.edu.tr/|Middle East Technical University]] (METU), where I was a member of [[http://kovan.ceng.metu.edu.tr|KOVAN Research Laboratory]], working on the European FP7 project [[http://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn/85547_en.html|ROSSI]] under the supervision of [[http://kovan.ceng.metu.edu.tr/~erol|Assoc. Prof. Erol Şahin]] and [[http://robotics.ozyegin.edu.tr/members/erhan-oztop/|Assoc. Prof. Erhan Öztop]]. I wrote [[http://etd.lib.metu.edu.tr/upload/12614835/index.pdf|my master thesis]] on the cognitive development of grasp behaviour for [[http://www.icub.org/|iCub]], an open-source humanoid robotic platform. Prior to my master's degree, I studied [[http://www.cs.bilkent.edu.tr/|Computer Engineering]] (B.Sc.) at [[http://www.bilkent.edu.tr/|Bilkent University]] where [[http://kovan.ceng.metu.edu.tr/~asil/magic/a/Welcome.html|my graduation project]] was developing a simulation for The Multi Autonomous Ground-robotic International Challenge 2010.
